Grist & Toll

At Grist & Toll, a Pasadena based mill produces all of our flour by a process known as whole grain, stone milling. That means we grind the wheat or grain with the whole berry intact.

In 1913, Chalmers and Elizabeth King purchased a small piece of agricultural land in the Santa Clara valley. To this day King and King Ranch is run by 3rd & 4th generation Kings.

Today, 8 varieties of avocados, over 20 varieties of citrus, plus pomegranates, persimmons, plums, herbs, and loads of other rare and exotic culinary delights are grown!

Ave 33 Farms

Avenue 33 Farm is an urban farm in the Lincoln Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles. It's run by Ali Greer and Eric Tomassini. We started the farm in 2018 on 1.2 acres focusing on building soil through regenerative farming practices.

Alma Backyard Farms

In 2017, Alma Backyard Farms installed its largest urban farm on an old softball field on the property of a church and school in Compton. This space started as a 1/4 acre and allowed for a three-fold increase in ALMA's capacity to grow food and impact community.

In 2019, ALMA expanded the farm to ½ acre. This site acts as Alma’s hub for its programs. With a larger urban farm site, ALMA is now poised to grow more food and create more opportunities for formerly incarcerated people, at-risk children and youth, and food insecure families.

McGrath Family Farms

McGrath Family Farms is an organic vegetable farm, established in 1871 by and Irish immigrant named Dominick. Of the 300 acres on the ranch, Philip (Farmer Phil) grows an extensive array of seasonal vegetables. Year round vegetables grow on 24 acres with an additional 4 acres of strawberries and 17 acres of lemons. McGrath Farms is located in Camarillo, CA just off Hwy101 and Central Avenue.

Arlington Gardens

Arlington Garden is a three-acre public garden in the city of Pasadena. It was founded in 2005 to provide an urban sanctuary that is not only friendly to people and pets, but also a refuge for native fauna such as birds, bees and butterflies.
